Health Card is taking steps towards business transformation by the establishment of a new digital platform. All current and future Health Card users will be able to download the virtual Health Card mobile app through the App Store or Google Play (supports installation on Android and Apple Apple IOS).
We are convinced that this mobile app will make it easier to choose targeted services within the Health Card partner in the network.
The 2nd Investment Forum of Health and Tourism Adriatic Region will again start on Wednesday afternoon (October, 10th) with two educational workshops, both part of regular 3-day registration fee.
The Workshops will be held in Westin hotel and led by expert lecturers from Croatia, EU and USA.
Information and knowledge from the workshops are immediately applicable and are very useful for improving the business, both in health and touristic sector.

The first AHT Invest Forum brought together 200+ participants, lecturers, investors and developers, experts and exhibitors from the health and tourism industry, and representatives of states, counties, cities, municipalities, tourist offices and communities, financial industry chairpersons and various supporting businesses related to investment projects (brownfield and greenfield). Specific and prepared projects were presented (10), but Forum participants also discussed the development of the destination, at the level of the whole region, as a all year tourist riviera of Europe.
In that sense, the preparation for 2nd edition of AHT Invest Forum is in process. Encouraged by last year's successes, we will also take part in AHT Invest Forum 2018, which prepares a special offer this year, important to all providers of health and tourism services. The new issue of the oldest German monthly magazine „Berlin Magazine“ is bringing the big interview with Miljenko Bura, MD.Ph.D, a Consultant and President of Zagreb's Health Tourism Cluster and founder and initiator of the Adriatic Health and Tourism Investment Forum (AHT INVEST FORUM) Dr. Bura was a guest speaker on 4th Annual Conference on Medical Tourism in Berlin.
In his interwiev, Dr. Bura highlighted the importance of using tools that link the health tourism services and advised to use it more (e.g. Health Card, which was also the Sponsor of the Conference).
Also, he stress out the facts on the development of the Adriatichealth platform, that is actively involved in the creation of conditions for Adriatic region become the destination for full-time stay of the guests (especially the Silver generation) and moreover to attract the investment projects in helath inrastructure and health tourism.
In Berlin, the 4th Annual Conference on Medical Tourism was officially opened. In addition to numerous well-known experts, Dr. Miljenko Bura, a consultant and President of Zagreb's Health Tourism Cluster, was invited as the invited speaker. Among others, Dr. Bura emphasized in his presentation the importance of using tools that link the health tourism service and encourage their use. In this sense, the Health Card is presented - at the same time a Partnership Conference.
The Croatian Table Tennis Association and the Medical Network 'Health Card' have recently become partners. Specifically, 'Health Card' has become a sponsor of the men's senior team and these cards were presented to Andreja Gaćini, Tomislav Pucar, Tomislav Franko Kojić, Filip Čipin, Tomislav Kolarek and Nevena Karković.
At this moment, the health tourism brings around 300 million euros per year. Nevertheless, it could do much more. Since January 1st, the new Law on Provision of Tourism Services came into force, but still, there are many things that left undefined. On 24 January 2018 from 12:30-14:00 at Members Salon in EU Parliament at Brusseles, the lunch debate on healthy nutrition solutions will take place, hosted by MEPs Renate Sommer (EPP) and Marijana Petir (EPP).
Many chronic non-infectious diseases are closely linked to the diet of citizens or require specific dietary needs. For patients, however, it is often difficult to realize these needs, particularly when they eat out. Introducing standards of nutrition for different health issues / dietary needs with “personalized” meals in the catering sector might therefore be a helpful solution for consumers.
The stakeholders in Croatia with support of Croatian health ministry established an Association which has developed such a scheme and extended activities on the European level preparing the organisation “Healthy nutrition-Europe”. During the lunch debate, representatives of Healthy Nutrition Standard will present the nutrition scheme and explain the certification and control procedures.
Dr. Bura will also meet EU bodies relevant for the health and tourism development in the Adriatic Region, and open the door to new partnerships for organisation of the 2nd AHT INVEST FORUM which will take place in October in Zagreb.
